Middleton Tract ARC Orientation and SET

The La Honda Fire Brigade invites the public to an open house to meet the Middleton Tract Advanced Resource Center (ARC), our neighborhood’s new emergency hub. The ARC is equipped with power, communications, and supplies to sustain the first 72 hours after a disaster, even when roads and phone lines are down.

In addition to the public, open house event, this will be an ARES training and orientation so that operators may become familiar with the facilities including radios and practice the opening and closing procedures they will be called upon to perform during an activation. This ARC is one of three already deployed in our communities with two more coming on-line in the next few months. Knowledge gained here will apply in all of our neighborhoods.
