Gusty Winds 3/13 – 3/14

The National Weather Service hazardous weather briefing has issued a wind advisory for the North and East Bay mountains and interior valleys. The forecast is “high” confidence of “moderate” impacts in our area with Wednesday afternoon gusts 15-25 mph, Thursday gusts 25-35 mph except 35-45 mph over the mountains with isolated locations to 55-60 mph and Friday morning gusts 15-25 mph except 30-40 mph over the mountains. Power outages are likely.

Offshore winds will start a drying trend, but fire weather concerns remain low thanks to moist fuels and recent beneficial rain. Download the full briefing here.
